Acre Wines

Napa, CA

Acre Wines, previously known as One Acre Wines, is located in the Oak Knoll district of Napa Valley. Founded by David Becker, who has deep roots in the area since his family moved there in 1971, the winery began with a one-acre vineyard that David cultivated after purchasing the land from his father. Initially lacking experience in winemaking, he transitioned from installing rain gutters to planting Cabernet Sauvignon vines, specifically clones 191 and 337, which thrive in his vineyard, now called Porchview Vineyard. In 2018, David sold Acre Wines to Mike and Talley Henry, who have a background in wine distribution. Despite the change in ownership, David continues to manage some of his original vineyard sites. Acre Wines produces limited quantities of wine, originally around 200 cases per year, but has since increased production by sourcing from other Napa Valley vineyards. Their wines, including a second label called Old Lodge, are available at select retail locations in Northern California. Visitors can experience tastings at The Studio by Feast it Forward in downtown Napa, which features a unique atmosphere combining wine, food, and music. Acre Wines is known for its quality offerings, including Sauvignon Blanc and Chenin Blanc, which reflect the terroir of their respective vineyards.
