Aequitas Vineyards, located in Napa Valley, was established by prominent lawyer David Boies, Stephen Zack, and Amy Ash. Following the buyout of her partners, Amy Ash became the sole owner, leveraging her extensive experience in real estate and the wine industry, including roles at Ghost Horse Vineyards and Anderson's Conn Valley Vineyards. The vineyard spans 21 acres on the lower slopes of Atlas Peak, with plans to expand its Cabernet Sauvignon plantings. The estate's first vintage was produced in 2014, and the vineyard has faced challenges, including significant damage from the 2017 Atlas Peak Fire. Aequitas specializes in a variety of wines, including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Sauvignon, with a focus on expressing the unique terroir of their vineyards. The winemaker, Jason Moore, has been with Aequitas since its inception. Tasting experiences are available at a location in northern Napa, with tours of the estate also offered. The wines are characterized by a balance of fruit and acidity, showcasing the quality of the Napa Valley region.
