Andrew Geoffrey Vineyards

St Helena, CA

Andrew Geoffrey Vineyards is situated at the top of Diamond Mountain Road in the Diamond Mountain District of Napa Valley, known for its stunning views. The vineyard, established by retired lawyer Peter Thompson, spans 66 acres, with 16.5 acres dedicated to grape cultivation. The name honors Peter’s sons, Andrew and Geoffrey. Peter, a dedicated vintner, produces wines at a family-owned facility in southern Napa Valley. The vineyard is primarily planted with Cabernet Sauvignon (78%), along with smaller amounts of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Peter has a history in geology and has developed the vineyard on rocky, volcanic soil, ensuring excellent drainage. He also sells grapes to several notable Napa wineries. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking views from a newly constructed deck, rebuilt after the Glass Fire in 2020. The winery typically produces one Cabernet Sauvignon each year, with limited releases of varietals available to club members. The wines are known for their complexity and aging potential, with older vintages available at the same price as current releases. Overall, Andrew Geoffrey Vineyards offers a unique combination of quality wine and a remarkable location.
