Antinori Napa Valley, previously known as Antica Napa Valley, is a 1,210-acre estate situated in Foss Valley at the base of Atlas Peak, distinct from the main Napa Valley floor. The estate, which has a rich history of grape cultivation dating back to 1870, is owned by the Antinori family, one of the oldest wine families in the world, with roots tracing back to 1385 in Italy. The estate is planted with approximately 540 acres of vineyards, primarily Cabernet Sauvignon, along with other varietals like Chardonnay and Sangiovese. The winery emphasizes innovation while respecting tradition, with Piero Antinori's daughters now managing operations. The estate features a significant wine cave, constructed in 1994, which is among the largest in Napa Valley. Antinori Napa Valley produces around 10,000 cases annually, focusing on high-quality wines from estate-grown grapes. Visitors can enjoy a curated tasting experience in a newly completed hospitality center that offers stunning views and insights into the Antinori family's history. Appointments are required for visits, which include a tour of the property and wine cave.
