Azur Wines, established in 2009 by Elan and Julien Fayard, is located in Coombsville, Napa Valley. Elan, originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, pursued her passion for wine in France, where she met Julien. After moving to Napa to be near family, Elan became the sole proprietor. In 2012, she joined a group to purchase a 12-acre vineyard site, which includes five acres of vines. The property features a scenic knoll and an 11,500 square foot wine cave completed in 2015, where they produce wines for several small Napa Valley producers. Azur Wines is known for its exceptional rosé, produced using the Methode Provençale process, and a variety of other wines including Sauvignon Blanc and proprietary red blends. The winery emphasizes traditional winemaking techniques and sources grapes specifically for rosé production. In July 2023, Azur opened a wine lounge in downtown Napa, offering tastings, small bites, and local art. The space is available for private events and workshops. Azur's wines are available at top restaurants and through selective online distribution. Elan also hosts wellness retreats at her Coombsville property, further enhancing the winery's community engagement.
