The name "Bella Union" pays homage to the nearby Bella Union Mining Company, reflecting the area's historical significance in quicksilver mining. Following a two-year, $20 million renovation, Bella Union reopened to visitors on September 15, 2024, showcasing a visually stunning hospitality space.
