Bello Family Vineyards, established in 2004 by Michael Bello, is located in Rutherford, Napa Valley. Michael, originally from Orange County, California, transitioned from a career in residential contracting to pursue his passion for winemaking. He acquired premium vineyard land and constructed a French-style farmhouse, enlisting top professionals like David Abreu and Aaron Pott to assist in vineyard management and winemaking, though they are no longer involved. The winery produces a variety of wines, including a notable Rosé of Cabernet Sauvignon, which has developed complex flavors over time. Their Chardonnay is characterized by rich fruit and floral notes, while the Pinot Noir offers a blend of red fruits and spices. The Cabernet Sauvignon showcases ripe dark fruits and barrel influences, with a well-structured palate. Initially, Bello Family sold wines through a mailing list and select restaurants, but opened a tasting room in St. Helena in 2012, which later closed in 2016. Currently, tastings are by appointment only, and the property has changed ownership. The winery produces several thousand cases annually and offers a wine club for enthusiasts.
