Black Stallion Winery, located in the Oak Knoll Appellation of Napa Valley, began its operations in 2002 without a physical winery, opening its hospitality center to the public in May 2007. The winery is situated on a 38-acre property that was previously an equestrian center, known as the Silverado Horseman’s Center, established in 1963. The winery was founded by brothers Terrance and Michael Maglich, who sold it to the Indelicato family in 2010. The winery produces a diverse range of wines, primarily focusing on Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from its own Gaspare Vineyard and other local vineyards. Black Stallion offers various tasting experiences, including a selection of limited production wines and unique varietals such as Albariño and Viognier. The tasting room features a plush interior and a private lounge for wine club members. Visitors can enjoy a demonstration vineyard and gardens at the winery, making it a pleasant spot for relaxation. Black Stallion Winery was recognized as the "American Winery of the Year" by Wine Enthusiast in 2023, highlighting its commitment to quality and innovation in winemaking.
