Boich Family Cellar is located at the northern tip of the Mt. Veeder appellation in Napa Valley. Founded by John Boich, a former finance professional, the winery began when he impulsively purchased a picturesque property after visiting the area in the mid-1990s. The estate spans 36 acres, with vineyards planted primarily to Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, cultivated in volcanic soils at high elevations. John Boich collaborates closely with mentor Duane Wall, a local cooper, who provides invaluable industry insights. The winery focuses on producing 100% varietal, single vineyard wines from renowned sites, including several of Beckstoffer’s heritage vineyards. Winemaker Jeff Ames has crafted every vintage since the inaugural release in 2014. Tasting experiences are offered at HUNNICUTT Winery in St. Helena, known for its premium custom crush services, and can include curated lunches from local restaurants. Boich Family Cellar produces around 2,000 cases annually, with wines available direct to consumers and select retailers. Membership in their allocation program provides access to exclusive events and personalized experiences centered around food and wine.
