BRAND Napa Valley, located on Pritchard Hill, was established by Ed and Deb Fitts, who transitioned from a successful paper manufacturing business to winemaking after developing an interest in Napa wines. The couple purchased 110 acres of land in 2005, with 12 acres planted to grapes, and produced their first wine in 2009. In 2019, the winery was sold to James Bean and Christine O’Sullivan, former Apple executives who have since embraced the Napa lifestyle. The winery, completed in 2012, features a design inspired by horse barns and old mining towns, surrounded by thoughtfully landscaped grounds. The vineyard benefits from a moderate climate and is divided into sections for growing primarily Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. The wines are characterized as muscular and powerful, designed for aging, with a focus on expressing the mountain terroir. Tastings are available by appointment, emphasizing a personalized experience for serious wine enthusiasts. Visitors can enjoy unscripted seated tastings in a cozy hospitality space after touring the winery. The winery is known for its limited production, high-quality wines, including their flagship Cabernet Sauvignon and blends.
