August Briggs Winery is a family-owned establishment located in downtown Calistoga, Napa Valley. Founded by Joe Briggs, who began winemaking in 1995 after studying at Fresno State, the winery has undergone changes in ownership since Joe and his wife Sally sold it in 2011. The current co-owners, Colette Milliman and Matthew Gacso, operate a tasting room that offers a variety of wines, including selections from historical vineyards in Napa and Sonoma counties. The winery is recognized for its diverse wine portfolio, producing 16 different wines sourced from notable vineyards such as Luvisi Vineyard and Canard Vineyard. The tasting room features two counters for visitors and a relaxing outdoor patio along the Napa River.
