Celani Family Vineyards, established in 2005 by Tom and Vicki Celani, is located in Napa Valley, just minutes from the city limits. The couple splits their time between Napa and Michigan. Tom, with a background in various business ventures, including Native American gaming, discovered the vineyard property during his travels and purchased it without initially informing Vicki. The 20-acre estate, originally planted with Merlot and Chardonnay, was modernized to produce premium wines. The winery emphasizes limited production, sourcing grapes from their estate and other southern Napa Valley vineyards. Winemaker Mark Herold, who has a notable history in the region, crafted their wines until 2024, favoring the Coombsville area for Cabernet Sauvignon. The vineyard now grows Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Chardonnay, with a focus on unfiltered and unfined red wines. Visitors can expect a welcoming experience, with a tasting room that showcases their diverse wine offerings, including standout Chardonnays and blends like the Tenacious, which features Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The winery aims to engage a younger audience, especially with the involvement of the Celani's daughter since 2019.
