Dalla Valle Vineyards, located in the Oakville Appellation of Napa Valley, was established in 1982 by Gustav and Naoko Dalla Valle. The winery's first vintage was produced in 1986. Initially, the couple aimed to develop a luxury resort but shifted focus to winemaking after recognizing the potential of their rocky, iron-rich soils. Following Gustav's passing in 1995, Naoko took over operations, transforming Dalla Valle into a renowned winery. Their daughter, Maya, returned in 2017 and now serves as the winery's Director and winemaker, having gained experience and education in viticulture and winemaking. Dalla Valle's vineyards span 21 acres, primarily planted with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, and are known for producing wines that reflect the unique terroir. The winery has a history of esteemed winemakers and currently collaborates with notable figures like Andy Erickson and Michel Rolland. Dalla Valle produces a limited selection of wines, including their flagship Maya, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, and the approachable Collina. The winery is actively involved in charitable efforts and maintains a selective distribution network, with wines available at select locations and events in Napa Valley.
