Darms Lane Wine

Napa, CA

Darms Lane Winery is situated on Darms Lane, between Yountville and Napa, California. Originally founded as Crichton Hall in 1983 by Richard and Judith Crichton, the winery transitioned ownership to Larry Bump in 2002, who replanted the vineyard to focus on Bordeaux varieties, primarily Cabernet Sauvignon. The Bon Passe Vineyard, part of the estate, was initially planted in the late 1970s and is now certified organic. The winery is family-owned, with Larry's daughter, Tricia, serving as General Manager. The winery's wines are currently produced at Laird Family Estates, as a physical winery is yet to be built on-site. Darms Lane emphasizes estate wines, particularly a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, alongside smaller productions of Petit Verdot and Chardonnay sourced from local vineyards. Visitors can expect a family-oriented atmosphere, and the winery's location offers a scenic view of the Mayacamas mountains. The vineyard spans 50 acres, with 14 acres planted to various Bordeaux varieties, benefiting from well-drained soils. Darms Lane wines are noted for their quality, with a focus on rich flavors and a commitment to sustainable practices.
