Envy Wines is situated on the former site of Calistoga Cellars, just north of Calistoga, California. Established in 2006, the winery features a tasting room and vineyards designed by Valley Architects. The estate spans 17 acres, with 11 acres dedicated to vines, and focuses on sourcing grapes from Calistoga and other Napa Valley regions. Envy Wines is co-owned by renowned winemaker Nils Venge, known for his previous work at Groth Winery, where he produced the first 100-point Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery offers a relaxed tasting experience, often less crowded than those in southern Napa Valley, especially during winter weekdays. Visitors can enjoy tastings indoors or on the patio, with views of the nearby Old Faithful Geyser and Vaca mountain range. Envy produces a limited selection of wines, including a notable Chenin Blanc and various red blends, such as the Bee Bee’s Blend, named after Venge's late dog. The winery also engages in custom crush production for other brands, including Carter Cellars, which shares a partnership with Envy.
