FE Wines, located in Napa Valley, was established by Jon and Joanne Goldstein in 2012. Jon's early experiences with wine, including memories of his mother shopping for Heitz bottles, inspired their venture into winemaking. The property, which had never been farmed before, was chosen after extensive searching and features iron-rich volcanic soils. Winemaker Aaron Pott, who has been involved since the beginning, helped design and develop the vineyards, which span 4.72 hillside acres and primarily grow Cabernet Sauvignon, along with smaller amounts of Malbec, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. The vineyard is farmed organically and is CCOF certified, bordered by Bothe State Park, ensuring a natural environment. The first harvest occurred in 2016, and the wines produced exhibit a balance of freshness and elegance, distinguishing them from other Napa offerings. Notable releases include the 2019 Fe Spring Mountain Napa Valley blend and the 2018 Fe Cabernet Sauvignon, both showcasing complex aromas and flavors.
