Firetree Family Vineyards

Napa, CA

Firetree Family Vineyards is a 70-acre estate located in the Napa side of Carneros, acquired by the Jimenez Family in April 2021. The property has a rich history, originally part of a Mexican land grant and used for cattle grazing in the 1880s. It features remnants of the Sciligo Ranch, where early grape varieties like Riesling and Zinfandel were planted. The vineyard currently focuses on Chardonnay, with plans to expand to Pinot Noir and Syrah. Under the Jimenez family's stewardship, vineyard management has shifted towards organic practices, emphasizing precise care for each vine block. The estate is home to diverse wildlife and employs sheep for grazing among the vines. The family aims to build a legacy for future generations, inspired by their travels to renowned wine regions. Firetree produces several Chardonnay bottlings, including the Bunny Hills and FIDEM lines, showcasing bright fruit flavors and balanced acidity. The wines are crafted with attention to detail, with some aged in French oak and concrete eggs. Tasting experiences are available at Maison Fayard in downtown Napa, which opened in September 2023, offering a selection of Firetree wines alongside other Napa Valley offerings.
