Frisson Wines is a boutique winery located in Napa Valley, established in 2009 by Terry and Pam, who originally hail from Houston. Their journey into winemaking began after organizing a charity event for cystic fibrosis, which connected them with notable figures in the wine industry. Over time, they became enamored with Napa Valley, eventually purchasing a home in Yountville. Frisson sources grapes from esteemed vineyards in Napa and Sonoma, focusing primarily on Napa-grown fruit. They do not own vineyards but collaborate with reputable growers, including Dutton Ranch and Beckstoffer-managed Georges III vineyard. Their wine portfolio features a range of styles, with a modern, fruit-forward approach. Notable offerings include the 2019 Frisson Toucher Vineyards Proprietary Red and the 2018 Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon, both praised for their complexity and balance. In late 2016, Frisson joined the Thorn Hill Vineyards tasting room in St. Helena, but in 2020, the winery was sold to Appellation Trading Company, which specializes in sourcing and bottling wines from various appellations.
