Gallica Wine is an artisanal winery located in St. Helena, Napa Valley, founded by winemaker Rosemary Cakebread. With a background in viticulture and enology from UC Davis, Rosemary began her career at Inglenook and later spent 16 years at Spottswoode Winery. Gallica, established in 2007, focuses on limited production, handcrafted wines characterized by restraint and balance, sourcing grapes from exceptional vineyards, including Shake Ridge Vineyard and Rossi Ranch. The winery produces a variety of wines, including a notable 2022 Rosé made from 85% Petite Sirah and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, and a 2020 Albariño from Calaveras County. Gallica's Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from St. Helena and Oakville, showcases the region's robust character while also exploring other varietals from outside Napa. The winery's annual production is around 1,000 cases, with wines selling out quickly upon release. Gallica offers limited visits by appointment at their estate vineyard and at Arrow & Branch winery in Yountville, where their wines are produced.
