Hindsight Wines, located in Calistoga, Napa Valley, was founded by partners Keith Hargrove, Seth Gersch, and Alisa Gean, MD. The winery's history is rooted in the early days of Napa's wine industry, with Hargrove having extensive experience in the region. The winery's philosophy centers on producing unique, character-driven wines from high-quality vineyards, with a focus on both value and premium offerings. Their Black Label wines are sourced from single vineyards, while the Silver Label wines are noted for their quality-to-price ratio. Hindsight's vineyard spans ten acres, with six acres planted to Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah, featuring diverse soil types. The winery employs sustainable practices, including a stormwater recovery system. The current winemaker, Michael Weis, succeeded Jac Cole, who was instrumental in the winery's early vintages. Visitors can taste Hindsight wines at VAULT Wine + Artifacts in Calistoga, a renovated space that also showcases historical wine artifacts. Tastings are by appointment, with options for private experiences. Hindsight Wines emphasizes an engaging visitor experience and offers a selection of wines that reflect their commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
