After a career in law and entrepreneurship, Spencer transitioned to winemaking, and his daughter Lindsay took over operations in 2013. The winery primarily produces Cabernet Sauvignon, with a focus on quality and reasonable pricing. Their production has expanded to include various wines, typically between 2,500 and 3,000 cases annually. Notable offerings include the 2021 Sauvignon Blanc, characterized by tropical fruit notes, and the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon, known for its aromatic complexity and balanced palate. Hoopes wines were previously available at Napa Wine Co's tasting room but are now produced at Spelletich Cellars.
