HUNNICUTT Wines, located on the Silverado Trail between Calistoga and St. Helena, is owned by Justin Hunnicutt Stephens and his wife Seana. The winery is named after Justin's grandmother and was established after he transitioned from a career in commercial real estate to winemaking, gaining experience at several notable Napa Valley wineries. In 2008, HUNNICUTT acquired a 15-acre property and built an extensive cave for wine production, which became operational in 2011. The winery produces around 3,500 cases annually, focusing primarily on Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel, with wines crafted under the guidance of winemaker Kirk Venge. HUNNICUTT also operates as a premium custom crush facility, allowing other vintners to produce their wines on-site. Tasting experiences are private and held in a cozy lounge, with an emphasis on serious wine enthusiasts. HUNNICUTT sources grapes from high-quality vineyards in Napa Valley and Sonoma County, and their wines are noted for their reasonable pricing relative to the quality.
