Judds Hill Winery, located just north of Napa on the southern part of Silverado Trail, is a family-owned establishment managed by Judd Finkelstein and his wife Holly. The winery's origins trace back to Art Finkelstein, who began making wine in the 1970s and co-founded Whitehall Lane Winery in 1980. After selling that venture, Art and Bunnie Finkelstein acquired 14 acres in the hills above Conn Valley, naming the winery after their son, Judd. The winery is known for its picturesque setting among rolling hills and vineyards, offering a cozy tasting room and an outdoor patio. Visitors can enjoy guided tastings of 5 to 6 wines, often accompanied by a production tour. Judds Hill specializes in small-batch winemaking through its MicroCrush program, allowing clients to create custom wines with minimal quantities. Judds Hill produces about 3,000 cases annually, featuring a diverse range of 26 wines, including unique varietals like Picpoul Blanc and Charbono. Their popular Wine & Food Seminar educates guests on wine pairing, enhancing the overall visitor experience.
