PO Box 3299 Walnut Creek, CA

Lerner Project is located at Armstrong Ranch in a remote area of Napa Valley, characterized by its tranquility and stunning views. The estate spans 91 acres, with 13 acres dedicated primarily to Cabernet Sauvignon and a small block of Malbec. The vineyard, planted in 1983 by Dick Steltzner, is situated on steep slopes, benefiting from diverse soil types and an elevated position that enhances grape quality. Previously owned by Jane Armstrong and Tom Byrne, the property transitioned to its current owners, including winemaker Russell Bevan, who has a rich background in the wine industry. The Lerner Project produces a range of wines, including notable Cabernet Sauvignons and a Sauvignon Blanc, showcasing a balance of fruit, texture, and acidity. Visitors can find Lerner Project wines at select local retailers, and the winery has expanded its production from 1,000 to approximately 1,800 cases annually since its first vintage in 2016. The tasting experience emphasizes the unique terroir and quality of the wines, which have already garnered attention for their impressive characteristics and aging potential.
