Lewis Cellars, founded in 1992 by Randy and Debbie Lewis, is located in Napa Valley. Randy, a former professional race car driver, developed a passion for wine during his racing career and after a near-fatal crash in 1991, he decided to pursue winemaking seriously. The winery initially produced wines under the Oakville Ranch label, where they were early investors. Debbie played a crucial role in both the racing and winery operations until her passing in 2017. Lewis Cellars is known for its rich, opulent wines, particularly Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, which have received critical acclaim, including a top wine award from Wine Spectator in 2016. The winery does not own vineyards but sources grapes from premium Napa Valley sites and maintains control over viticulture practices. Visitors can enjoy a variety of tasting experiences at their newly renovated facility, which opened in October 2025. The elegant space offers both indoor and outdoor settings, with a focus on food and wine pairings. Lewis Cellars emphasizes a warm fermentation process and late harvesting, resulting in wines characterized by ripeness and texture.
