Longfellow Wine, founded by Craig and Mark, originated from their shared experience in Napa Valley during a 1990 spring break trip. After pursuing separate business degrees, they reconnected and decided to create a wine brand from scratch in the late 1990s. Initially working with winemaker Rolando Herrera until 2016, they now collaborate with Kale Anderson, who sources grapes from premium vineyards across Napa Valley, as they do not own any vineyards themselves. Their winemaking philosophy emphasizes producing high-quality wines from small lots. Longfellow's production is around 1,000 cases annually, with a focus on Cabernet Sauvignon, which has been their flagship since their first vintage in 2001. They also produce unique varietals like Grenache Blanc and Cuvée Hermitage, showcasing a diverse range of flavors. Longfellow wines are primarily sold through their website and wine club, with tastings available at Vintner's Collective in downtown Napa, where they have been a long-standing participant since 2005. Visitors can enjoy a variety of tasting experiences, with options for private tastings depending on availability.
