McKahn Wines, established in 2014 by the McKahn family, is located in Napa Valley. The winery is co-owned by winemaker Chuck McKahn, his wife Brittany, and his parents Denise and Kevin. Chuck's passion for winemaking began at age 15, leading him to gain experience at various vineyards before returning to Napa Valley. His notable roles include Assistant Winemaker at Chappellet Winery and Winemaker at William Harrison Winery. Initially producing a variety of wines, McKahn shifted focus to Rhône varieties starting in 2016. Their popular 2021 Rosé of Grenache showcases bright flavors and a creamy texture, while the 2021 Viognier is noted for its floral aromas and vibrant acidity. The winery also produces a Grenache blend and a unique Carignane from a historic vineyard. Visitors can taste McKahn wines at Mia Carta Wine Lounge in downtown Napa, which features a curated selection of boutique wineries. The tasting experience includes options for indoor and outdoor seating, with a private tasting room available. McKahn Wines produces around 2,500 cases annually, available through their website and select retailers.
