Michael-Scott Wines

Lodi, CA

Michael-Scott Wines, established in 1996 by Michael Quinn, is located in Browns Valley, Napa. As a third-generation Napa Valley resident, Quinn has deep roots in the region, having worked in various vineyard roles before founding his winery. He produces small lots of primarily Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel, with an annual production of around 1,600 cases. While some wine is kept on-site, the majority is crafted at Artesa Winery in the Carneros District. Quinn's winemaking focuses on quality, sourcing grapes from both Napa and Sonoma. Notable wines include a sparkling brut and a Zinfandel that showcases a blend of fruit characteristics without being overly jammy. His Cabernet Sauvignon offerings, particularly from Mount Veeder and Howell Mountain, exhibit rich fruit flavors balanced by acidity and complex aromatics. Historically, Michael-Scott Wines has been sold through various outlets, including a previous shared tasting room and direct-to-consumer sales. Currently, the wines are selectively available in Napa Valley, including local establishments. For more information, customers can visit the winery's website.
