Mumm Napa, located on the west side of the Silverado Trail in Napa Valley, was established in 1986/1987, with its first vintage bottled in 1983. Originally named Domaine Mumm, the winery was founded under the guidance of Guy Devaux, who played a significant role in its early success. Mumm Napa specializes in sparkling wines, producing a range of styles including brut, rosé, and cuvées. The winery sources grapes primarily from the cooler Carneros region, as the local climate is less suitable for traditional sparkling wine varietals. The winery emphasizes sustainability in its operations, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Visitors can enjoy tastings in a scenic indoor salon or on an outdoor terrace, with reservations recommended, especially on weekends. Mumm Napa offers a variety of tasting flights and has produced several still wines alongside its sparkling offerings. The winery is currently owned by Pernod Ricard, which also oversees G.H. Mumm in Champagne. Mumm Napa is recognized for its quality sparkling wines, including the Mumm Signature DVX, named in honor of Guy Devaux.
