NEOTEMPO Wine, established by Kia Behnia and Tracy Borman, released its first wines in 2021, although their journey began in 1996 when they discovered a property on the Silverado Trail. They purchased this site in 2011, where they replanted three acres with three unique clones of Cabernet Sauvignon. Initially, they sold grapes to established wineries while producing small amounts of wine for personal evaluation. Their philosophy emphasizes sustainability and innovation, influenced by experiences with wildfires that threatened their property. The winery's name reflects their commitment to creativity and modern winemaking practices. They focus on producing high-quality Cabernet Sauvignon, with their inaugural 2021 vintage showcasing a balance of fruit and complexity. NEOTEMPO employs advanced technology for vineyard management, enhancing sustainability and efficiency. Located in the cooler southern Napa Valley, their vineyard benefits from varied exposures and microclimates. Future plans include opening a tasting space in St. Helena in late 2025.
