Đồi Đá, a winery located in Napa Valley, was established in 2022 by the Pham family, who purchased the 18-acre property in late 2021. The site, situated behind Signorello Vineyards, is not within any specific AVA but is designated as part of the Napa Valley Appellation. The vineyard, which had been affected by the Atlas Peak Fire in 2017, is characterized by rocky slopes, aptly reflected in its name, which means "stony hill" in Vietnamese. The winery's first vintage will be a Cabernet Sauvignon, with the vineyard planted in 2024 under the guidance of winemaker Nova Cadamatre. The vineyard features a variety of clones, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, designed to showcase the unique terroir of the site. The wines produced are noted for their elegance and balance, with the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon highlighted for its fresh red fruit aromas and minerality. The Pham family, including Cuong, a former IT consultant, and his wife Ann, are actively involved in the winery's operations. While the winery itself does not have a tasting room, the wines are crafted at a facility in Calistoga.
