Olabisi Winery, established in 2002, is located in Napa Valley and is operated by Ted Osborne and his wife Kim. Ted, a self-taught winemaker, transitioned into the wine industry after moving to Napa for Kim's job in wine label design. He gained experience working at notable wineries, including Cakebread and Storybook Mountain, where he produced his first vintage. Currently, Olabisi is situated on Howell Mountain, where Ted manages the winery largely on his own. The winery focuses on a hands-off winemaking philosophy, sourcing grapes from various vineyards in Napa Valley and nearby regions. Olabisi wines are characterized by rich, layered flavors and balanced fruit profiles, with aging primarily in French oak barrels. The tasting room, opened in 2015 in Calistoga, offers a selection of wines, including Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Merlot, and blends, often featuring slightly older vintages. Olabisi produces fewer than 1,000 cases annually, with tastings available by appointment or walk-in. Ted also offers a unique "Sip and Cycle with a Vintner" experience in partnership with Solage Resort, enhancing the visitor experience in the picturesque Napa Valley.
