Paula Kornell Sparkling Wine is located in Napa Valley and was founded through a partnership between Paula Kornell and Vintage Wine Estates. Following Vintage Wine Estates' bankruptcy in 2024, Kornell partnered with Mike and Jenny Farmer, who were her first customers. Paula Kornell, a fourth-generation vintner, has a rich family history in winemaking, with her father, Hanns Kornell, having founded Hanns Kornell Cellars in 1958. The winery's inaugural vintage, a Blanc de Noir from 2017, reflects Kornell's commitment to quality sparkling wines. The current offerings include a Brut Rosé and California Brut, both well-received for their flavor profiles and value. The Brut Rosé is a blend of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay, showcasing bright fruit flavors and a refreshing finish. The California Brut, made from 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir, is noted for its vibrant acidity and pleasant aromas. Visitors can expect a warm and inviting atmosphere, with Paula's personal touch evident in the tasting experience. The wines are produced in collaboration with winemaker Robin Akhurst and sourced from reputable vineyards, ensuring a high standard of quality.
