Pestoni Family Estate Winery, located in Rutherford, Napa Valley, has historical roots dating back to 1883 when Albino Pestoni immigrated from Switzerland. Originally known as Rutherford Grove, the winery was established in 1994 after purchasing the former Rutherford Vintners Winery. In 2017, the name was changed to Pestoni Family Winery to honor their heritage. The winery is currently run by fourth-generation winemaker Andy Pestoni and encompasses nearly 60 acres of estate vineyards across Napa Valley and Lake County. The winery produces under 10,000 cases annually, focusing primarily on red wines such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Sangiovese. Visitors can enjoy a relaxed tasting room atmosphere, which can become busy on weekends, and are encouraged to explore the scenic picnic grounds and bocce ball court. The tasting room features creative decor made from recycled materials from the family’s history. Pestoni Family Winery offers various tasting options, including a Heritage Tasting with more affordable wines and a Legacy Tasting featuring limited production selections. The winery also hosts events for club members and provides ample parking for visitors.
