Pine Ridge Vineyards, established in 1978 by Gary Andrus, his ex-wife Nancy, and investment partners, is located in the Stags Leap District of Napa Valley. Currently owned by Crimson Wine Group, Pine Ridge encompasses 160 acres across five Napa Valley appellations, including notable sites in Carneros and Howell Mountain. The winery is recognized for its commitment to consistency, sourcing grapes from the same vineyards and producing wines from the same varietals annually. Current winemaker Josh Widaman, who previously achieved accolades at Lewis Cellars, has initiated improvements to the winery's infrastructure. Pine Ridge is particularly known for its Cabernet Sauvignon, with a history of producing a small amount of Chardonnay before transitioning to Cabernet due to disease in the vines. Visitors can enjoy a variety of personalized tasting experiences, including the popular Cellar 47 Cave Tour, which combines wine tasting with gourmet food pairings. The winery features a notable glass sculpture by artist Dale Chihuly and offers educational opportunities through its demonstration vineyards. Pine Ridge Vineyards is open to the public by appointment, providing a welcoming atmosphere for wine enthusiasts.
