Paoletti Vineyards, located near Calistoga on Silverado Trail, is owned by Gianni and Lilia Paoletti, who purchased the property in 1989. The winery, which produced its first vintage in 1994, reflects Italian influences in its architecture and wine names. The estate features a unique bell tower and a 9,000-square-foot cave that houses both wine and an impressive collection of Italian marble sculptures. Tastings are typically held in the winery's tank room, where guests can sample 6 to 7 wines, including older vintages, which is uncommon in Napa Valley. The winery focuses on red wines, particularly Bordeaux varieties and Italian grapes, with a notable emphasis on Malbec. Unique offerings include a White Malbec and Nero d’Avola, the only vineyard planting of this variety in Napa. The tasting experience is enhanced by the cave's ambiance, often accompanied by Italian music. Visitors can also enjoy scenic views from a picnic area above the winery. Paoletti Vineyards produces around 3,000 to 3,500 cases annually, with many wines available exclusively to wine club members.
