Pulido-Walker is a winery located in the southern part of the Mt. Veeder appellation in Napa Valley, founded by Mark Pulido and Donna Walker. Mark, with a background in pharmacy and leadership roles in major pharmaceutical companies, and Donna, both share a connection to South Carolina and a passion for wine that began in the 1980s. They chose Thomas Brown as their winemaker, who is well-respected in Napa Valley. The winery spans 115 acres, featuring rolling hills with stunning views of Napa Valley. Currently, 15 acres are planted, primarily with Cabernet Sauvignon and some Chardonnay. The first harvest of Cabernet Sauvignon occurred in 2018. Pulido-Walker has also secured a permit for a cave winery on-site and is partnered with Mending Wall winery for wine production. Pulido-Walker produces a range of wines, including rich and balanced Chardonnays and robust Cabernet Sauvignons, showcasing the terroir of Mt. Veeder. The wines are noted for their complexity and depth, with various clones contributing to unique flavor profiles. The winery offers a personalized tasting experience, reflecting the owners' commitment to quality and craftsmanship in winemaking.
