Rarecat Wine, established in 2009 by Sharon Harris, is located in the hills above Calistoga, Napa Valley. Sharon, originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, developed her passion for wine during a study abroad program in Bordeaux, France. She later pursued formal education in winemaking at the University of Bordeaux. Before founding Rarecat, she was a founding member of Amici Cellars in 1992. The winery focuses on producing food-friendly wines with a strong emphasis on acidity and balance, primarily from single vineyard sites. Rarecat’s offerings include a range of wines such as a Blanc de Noirs Champagne, a Chardonnay, and various Cabernet Sauvignons sourced from notable Napa Valley regions. The wines are characterized by their vibrant flavors and complexity, often reflecting the terroir of their origins.
