Robinson Family Vineyards is a small, family-owned winery located in the Stags Leap District of Napa Valley, established in 1967 by Norman 'Bud' and Helen Robinson. Initially, the family ran cattle and horses on their 78-acre property, but they were encouraged by local vineyard growers to plant wine grapes. The winery is now operated by their daughter Suzie and her husband Tom, who oversees winemaking and property management. The vineyard consists of three parcels, with only 7 acres planted to vines, and the family maintains a small herd of cattle for wildfire mitigation. The winery produces between 800 and 1,500 cases of wine annually, focusing on small production wines that are primarily sold directly to visitors and wine club members. The tasting experience is intimate, hosted by family members, and features a cozy tasting room with views of the vineyard. Guests can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, often enhanced by the family's sense of humor and unique wine labels. Robinson Family Vineyards offers a variety of wines, including Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon, with a focus on quality and balance. Their wines are characterized by vibrant flavors and approachable styles, making them enjoyable for a wide range of palates.
