Alamo, CA

Scarlett Wines, located in the Rutherford sub-appellation of Napa Valley, was established in 2006 by E.J. McGah's family, who previously sold grapes to various producers. The McGah family has a rich history, with E.J. being a former Boston Red Sox player and co-founder of the Oakland Raiders. The winery's vineyards, totaling approximately 65 acres, are situated near prestigious neighbors like Beckstoffer’s Georges III Vineyard. Initially operating as McGah Family Cellars, the winery rebranded to Scarlett Wines in 2009, named after Sherratt Reicher's daughter. The winery's label features artwork inspired by Czech artist Alphonse Mucha. Winemaker Mike Smith has been crafting their wines since 2009, focusing on a diverse range of varietals, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, and Sangiovese. Visitors can expect a tasting experience that highlights the winery's commitment to quality, with wines that showcase vibrant flavors and balanced textures. Scarlett Wines produces a variety of whites and reds, including a notable Sauvignon Blanc and a rich Cabernet Sauvignon, reflecting the unique terroir of their vineyards.
