Silverado Vineyards, located in Napa Valley, was established by Ron Miller and Diane Disney, daughter of Walt Disney. The winery was sold to Foley Wine Estates in mid-2022. The property originally belonged to Lillian Disney, who purchased land in the 1970s, and the vineyard is known for producing the See clone of Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery's first vintage was in 1981, made at Shafer Vineyards while their own facility was under construction. Visitors to Silverado Vineyards can enjoy tastings in a spacious tasting room, which opened in 2000, and offers two main tasting experiences. The winery also provides intimate, personalized tastings, including a unique Saddleblock Vineyard Tasting that features stunning views of Napa Valley. The estate encompasses 170 acres, with about 400 acres planted to vines, and includes a variety of grape types, including unique varieties like Kerner and an upcoming Chenin Blanc. Silverado Vineyards emphasizes sustainable practices, with many vineyards certified Napa Green. The winery has a strong connection to the arts, displaying various artworks, including pieces by Ron and Diane’s granddaughter. The winery's wines are primarily estate-grown, with a focus on quality and limited production.
