Sire Estate, established in 2012 by Thomas Buck, is located in Napa Valley. Buck's journey into the wine industry began during his college years, where he worked as a tour guide and developed a passion for fine wine. He previously owned Beau Wine Tours, a prominent luxury transportation company in Napa and Sonoma. Sire Estate focuses on producing single vineyard, single varietal, and single clone wines, with its first vintage being a Cabernet Sauvignon from Caldwell Vineyard in Coombsville. The winery's philosophy emphasizes terroir-driven wines that showcase the purity of the grape variety while reflecting vintage variations. Sire Estate does not own vineyards but sources grapes from esteemed Napa Valley locations. Their wines are known for their power, ripeness, and cellar-worthiness, with well-extracted colors and balanced tannins. Sire Estate's portfolio initially consisted solely of Cabernet Sauvignon until 2023, when they introduced a Cabernet Franc and a Chardonnay from Sonoma County. The wines are produced at Covert Estate, overseen by winemaker Julien Fayard. Visitors can expect a focus on quality and a commitment to showcasing the unique characteristics of each vineyard.
