Tamber Bey Vineyards, located a few minutes north of Calistoga in Napa Valley, began its commercial production in 2001 with just 150 cases and has since expanded to over 5,000 cases annually. The winery operates from a unique 22-acre site known as Sundance Ranch, which features a converted building for winemaking and a tasting room housed in a former residence. The property also includes equestrian facilities, accommodating over 40 horses, and previously hosted Napa County's largest horse rescue organization until 2020. Founded by Barry Waitte, a former tech industry professional, Tamber Bey produces wines from both Napa Valley vineyards and other regions, including two owned vineyards in Oakville and Yountville. The Oakville vineyard is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, while the Yountville site, Deux Chevaux Vineyard, features multiple varietals including Merlot and Chardonnay. Visitors can enjoy a variety of wines, including Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay, characterized by vibrant flavors and careful fermentation techniques. The winery also offers a guest house for wine club members. Tamber Bey is notable for its blend of winemaking and equestrian culture, making it a distinctive destination in Napa Valley.
