Tournesol Wine, located in Coombsville, Napa Valley, is owned by Bob and Anne Arns. The 10-acre vineyard, planted in 1999, benefits from a unique microclimate that is warmer than other parts of Coombsville due to its positioning against the Vaca mountains. The vineyard is sustainably managed, focusing on the five primary Bordeaux varieties, with production typically under 1,000 cases annually. Bob Arns, a San Francisco attorney and law professor, selected this site for its vineyard potential, emphasizing a hands-on approach to vineyard management. Although there is no physical winery on-site, winemaker Ken Bernards has crafted their wines since the first vintage, with production recently moving from Haynes Vineyard. Tournesol's wine offerings include a range of Sauvignon Blancs, a Rosé, and a Proprietor's Blend, showcasing distinct flavors and aromas. The winery's wines are available at select locations, including the Vintner's Collective tasting room in Napa, which features a rotating selection of boutique wines. Visitors can enjoy tastings by appointment or as walk-ins, depending on availability.
