Dog-friendly

V. Sattui Winery, located just south of St. Helena in Napa Valley, was founded in 1885 by Vittorio Sattui, an Italian immigrant. Initially named St. Helena Vineyards, the winery transitioned to V. Sattui Wine Company after moving to San Francisco. Following a 50-year closure due to Prohibition, Vittorio's grandson, Dario Sattui, revived the winery in the mid-1970s at its current site, which is uniquely zoned for both commercial and agricultural use. This has allowed V. Sattui to host numerous events, including over 2,000 weddings since 1987. The winery offers a diverse range of wines, with the Napa Gamay Rouge being particularly popular. Visitors can enjoy a lively atmosphere with picnic areas, BBQs, and a pizza oven operating seasonally. The winery emphasizes a personal touch, selling exclusively on-site and online, and hosts various events for wine club members, including a popular Barrel Tasting party. The recent renovation of Mercato del Gusto has enhanced the visitor experience, featuring a deli with Italian specialties and a vibrant tasting area. V. Sattui Winery combines a rich history with a welcoming environment, making it a notable destination in Napa Valley.
