Vangone Estate

Vangone Estate is located in Napa Valley, specifically on rocky plateaus at the base of Haystack Mountain. Established in 1993 by Ron and Karen Davidowski, the estate was developed after a lengthy search for suitable property. Their son Mark, who is now the full owner of the Vangone Estate wine brand, has a background in wine retail and has cultivated relationships within the industry. The vineyard spans 108 acres, with 22 acres planted primarily to Cabernet Sauvignon and a small amount of Cabernet Franc and Marsanne, all farmed organically and certified Napa Green. The estate's wines reflect the unique terroir, characterized by its elevation and cooler breezes from nearby Rector Reservoir. Vangone Estate produces high-quality, full-bodied red wines that are both approachable and age-worthy, showcasing rich textures and complex flavors. The Marsanne is crafted with inspiration from the Rhône Valley, fermented in various vessels for a distinctive profile. The winery's production is around 1,000 cases annually, with wines available for direct consumer sales and limited distribution in select international markets. Visitors can expect a scenic and unique tasting experience, although access to the estate is somewhat roundabout.
