Vincent Arroyo Family Winery, situated north of Calistoga on Greenwood Avenue, was founded by Vincent Arroyo, a former mechanical engineer who transitioned to winemaking in the 1970s. After purchasing the Greenwood Ranch in 1972, he initially sold grapes to a local co-op before starting his own winery, with his first commercial release in 1984. The winery has grown from 23 to 75 acres, producing around 8,000 cases annually, primarily focusing on red wines sourced from their estate vineyards. Currently owned by Vincent's daughter, Adrian, and her husband, Matt Moye, who is the head winemaker, the winery emphasizes a fresh wine style with lower alcohol levels compared to many Napa producers. Their offerings include a variety of red wines, a few white wines, and a recently introduced sparkling wine. Vincent Arroyo is known for its unique futures program, allowing customers to pre-purchase wines before bottling. Visitors experience a relaxed tasting environment in a functional setting, often greeted by friendly Labradors.
