Yount Ridge Cellars is located in the southern Oakville appellation of Napa Valley, adjacent to notable wineries like Cardinale and Far Niente. The winery honors George Yount, an early settler who established vineyards in the area in the 1840s. Founded by Eric Sklar, who has extensive experience in the wine industry, Yount Ridge Cellars was sold to Assemblage Retail Group in 2024. The estate spans 25 acres and is organically farmed, featuring Sauvignon Blanc and several Bordeaux varieties, including Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Celia Welch, a renowned winemaker, was the founding winemaker, later succeeded by Jean Hoefliger in 2021. The winery produces around 1,000 cases annually, with wines available in select states and local retailers. Tasting experiences are offered at the Yount Room in Yountville, which opened in early 2026. The winery also features a residence with stunning views and a wine cave, enhancing the visitor experience. Yount Ridge Cellars focuses on premium wines, showcasing a balance of fruit and acidity, particularly in their Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc offerings.
